I'm sure all the wonderful Harry Potter-QaF people have already said this, but Daniel Radcliffe is going to play the disturbed stableboy who cavorts naked with horses and then stabs them in the play Equus, the role that Randy "I hate being a tv actor and I have a bastard lovechild named Herman" Harrison played earlier this year? My feeble cross-fandom mind cannot take it.

May I just say that before 3 pm this afternoon, when I watched a movie called Elizabethtown, I was madly in love with Cameron Crowe. Having watched it - I STILL AM. I don't care that the first 15 minutes are creakingly awkward or that Orlando Bloom's American accent wobbles in and out or that he now conspires with Tom Cruise on everything (has been 'Cruised,' in other words). I still love Cameron Crowe's battered idealists, and his earnestness, and the way his main characters talk like him. But I hope his next movie is better.

Yes, I've read the horrifying Ms. Scribe story on bad_penny. What I suggest is that after learning about the lies, manipulation, and other psychological sloppage that went into the saga, you watch this video of Stephen Colbert at the White House Correspondents' Dinner here: http://www.dailymotion.com/sensemilia/video/143459. Stephen Colbert, you see, is a sockpuppet of the best kind: on the Colbert Report, he's a windbag who speaks in nothing but ridiculous rhetoric, but gives the audience enough of a wink to reveal the other Stephen Colbert - the writer-cum-comedian-cum-master of the eyebrow raise who makes the show one of the most truthful on television. He's awesome and I tip my hat to him. Also, I know there are people on my f-list who want to marry him. Very understandable.

School's over for the year and I have no summer job. This can only mean too much time on the internet, possibly followed by too much sleep!

That was a lie. It actually means keeping a backward eye on my siblings, one of whom is determined to hijack my first name (legally! with lists of reasons why this is a good idea). The other is a boy, and I really feel less responsible for brothers in general, because they should be doing brotherly (male, really) things off on their own - except that he isn't, because to me, talking to your boyfriends on the phone for hours on end is suspiciously unbrotherly. Sisterly, even.

But enough about that. My real reason for posting is that I just realized that I forgot to post the story I wrote for cjmarlowe in the last merry_smutmas in my own journal. My bad, flist.The lovely femmequixotic betaed, and any remaining mistakes are mine.

I miss fandom!

And I miss talking to people from fandom most of all, but to excuse myself, I'm no longer living on residence at my school, but instead a grotto masquerading as an apartment, which requires me to pretend I know how to do normal things like interact with the super, and vacuum (the vacuuming really gets to me); I'm taking fewer classes, but working longer hours; and beginning a few days ago, my computer froze up whenever I tried to get on my account, making me have a conniption until I realized I could still work on safe mode. Conniptions are time-consuming. I have renamed my computer Hepzibah in revenge. Just... I've been so stressed out that I let my plants die. Plants are on the lowest rung of the nurturing ability ladder: small children > big children > large animals > small animals > fish-like animals > plants. I haven't had fish for a very long time. Thank you to everyone who sent the Nudges. I just haven't been myself lately, especially the self that comments on your entries with any regularity. Luckily, I have the flu, which means that I can stay home for a couple of days, unwind, catch up on all the self-referential porn you've written while I was away.

Their little blurb began, "We want to be the filling in a Stewart/Cooper sandwich." They were at the top of the Nice list, although everyone knows that they are naughty.
